Introduction

Mini Kaiju Games, Inc. ("Mini Kaiju Games", "we", "us", "our") makes multiplayer games and is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We care about your privacy, and this policy explains what personal data we process when you play our games, visit our website or our Steam store pages, and why.

"Personal data" means any information that can identify you directly or indirectly, such as a username, an online ID or an IP address.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads in our games, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

We may change this policy at any time by posting an updated version on our website. The date at the top shows when it last changed, so please check back from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will let you know in the game or on our Steam page.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR give you these rights over your personal data:

If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have similar rights to know, correct and delete your data. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.

To use any of these rights, email contact@minikaijugames.com. Include your Steam ID if you can, so we can find your data. We will reply within 30 days.

The data we collect and use

We never ask for your real name, date of birth or payment details in our games. Purchases go through Steam, and Valve handles payment data under its own policy. For more detail on any category, contact us.

We do not collect personal data about you from marketing agencies, data brokers or ad networks. We do receive your Steam ID and friends list from Steam when you play.

Sharing your data

With other players. Our games are multiplayer, so the people you play with can see your display name, character and Steam ID, and hear your voice chat and any voice messages you record. One player hosts each session on their own computer, so the host or other players may be able to see your IP address. We do not record or store voice chat.

With service providers. We use these companies to run our games. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy:

Provider What it does for us
Valve (Steam) Store, purchases, Steam sign-in and friends
Epic Games (Epic Online Services) Sign-in, parties, connecting players, voice chat
Supabase Storing character customization, bug reports, surveys and gameplay stats
Sentry Crash and error reports
GameAnalytics Session and performance analytics

We share aggregated, anonymized statistics freely, since they cannot identify anyone. Beyond that, we disclose personal data only when the law requires it, to protect players or our games from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy still applies.

Transfers outside the EU and EEA

Our service providers may process your data in the United States and other countries outside the EU, the EEA and the UK. Where a country does not have an adequacy decision, we rely on safeguards the GDPR recognizes, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Keeping your data safe

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and limited access: our games can only add records, and only our team can read them. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep what we collect to a minimum.

Data retention and deletion

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. When you ask us to delete your data or withdraw your consent, we delete it, except for what we must keep to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

Voice chat is never stored. Voice messages and save files stay on players' own computers, not on our servers.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
